Extreme Heat - School Closure
School will close at 1:30pm Tue 23rd and re-open 8:30am on Fri 26th.
Tuesday 23 June
We will implement an earlier finish to take into account high classroom temperatures.
The school day will end at 1:30pm for all pupils.
Parents are able to collect children at both sites between 1:00pm and 1:30pm.
Classroom doors will be opened, just as they usually are at the end of the school day, at 1pm and children will be dismissed directly to you.
We will liaise with our transport providers directly. However, families of children who use taxis or wraparound care will need to make arrangements by contacting their providers.
Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June
Due to the Red Warning for sustained high temperatures, and our ability to safely manage the learning environment, the decision has been made to close the school on Wednesday and Thursday.
This has not been an easy decision and we appreciate that school closure creates disruption and inconvenience. However, our priority must always be the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. Staff will communicate an online learning offer for the days of closure, via Seesaw.
School lunches have been cancelled.
Friday 26 June
We anticipate being open fully as temperatures are due to be lower.
