Cross-country Event

On Wednesday 22nd November, 53 children from Years 3-6 took part in Brinkworth Earl Danby’s very own Cross Country event.

Children went by bus to the Swindon Harrier’s Athletic Club where they took part in a 1600m run.

Congratulations to Harry L in Rowan Class, Y4; Charlie M in Willow Class, Y6; Ruari in Birch Class, Y3 and Wynter in Rowan Class Y4.

Harry was first; Charlie second; Ruari third and Wynter was first girl. Children received certificates in celebration assembly this week.

 

House points were given to all children who took part and other certificates were given for endurance and resilience.

After the run children took part in some sprints, relays and egg and spoon races!

Children showed great team spirit and really enjoyed the event.

Thanks to all of the parents who came along to help as well as Steve for helping to plan and organise the event as well as attending on the day.
