BEECH - Reception
'While we can't hug' helps to explain to children why things are different and might be nice for parents to share with their children.
Helping to make Jollof rice and grilled chicken. A Ghanaian dish.
Here is my drawing of the comparison of the homes. The Maasai home only has a fire in it. It says , no water, no electricity, little, one room.
Trip to Brinkworth Dairy
On Thursday 9th January, as part of the Beech class topic ‘Do cows drink milk?’ we had the exciting opportunity to visit Brinkworth Dairy. We got to meet all the cows and even fed the baby calves. We were very excited to have the Dairy’s hot chocolate and ice cream. Both were very yummy. The children also had a cheese tasting back in school.
Beech class would like to say a huge Thank You to Ceri, Chad and Mrs Collingbourne for having us. It really enhanced the children’s learning and they have now created their own farm and farm shop in class!

Trip to Hill House Care Home
Beech Class were thinking about the true meaning of Christmas and the gift of time and love. They decided they would like to do something special in our community.
On Monday, 16th December 2019, they went to Hill House Care Home to perform Christmas songs to the residents. They also enjoyed some Christmas craft activities too.
