BEECH - Reception
Trip to Brinkworth Dairy
On Thursday 9th January, as part of the Beech class topic ‘Do cows drink milk?’ we had the exciting opportunity to visit Brinkworth Dairy. We got to meet all the cows and even fed the baby calves. We were very excited to have the Dairy’s hot chocolate and ice cream. Both were very yummy. The children also had a cheese tasting back in school.
Beech class would like to say a huge Thank You to Ceri, Chad and Mrs Collingbourne for having us. It really enhanced the children’s learning and they have now created their own farm and farm shop in class!

Trip to Hill House Care Home
Beech Class were thinking about the true meaning of Christmas and the gift of time and love. They decided they would like to do something special in our community.
On Monday, 16th December 2019, they went to Hill House Care Home to perform Christmas songs to the residents. They also enjoyed some Christmas craft activities too.

Visit from the Fire Service
Beech class had an amazing visit from the Fire Service talking about fire safety. We loved learning new facts but the best bit was we all got to be mini fire fighters!! Remember to call 999 if you need us!!
Trip to We The Curious
Beech Class had an amazing day at 'We the Curious' exploring a variety of exhibitions such as giant bubble making, building a huge lego house and milking a cow in the farmyard! The children also flew to the Moon, Neptune and a star cluster in the Planetarium and became Space Explorers. We even had time to disco dance in space!
We all enjoy dressing up and acting out our stories.
