Home School Agreement

Pupils

I will always try to:

  • Do my best in my lessons, remembering to listen carefully.
  • Be kind and caring towards everyone.
  • Work hard towards my learning targets.
  • Ask for help when my learning is too hard, at school or at home.
  • Talk at home about what I enjoyed at school.
  • Do all of my homework activities.
  • Always be at school on time.
  • Be smartly dressed and be prepared with things for the school day.
  • Go to bed early on a school night.
  • Enjoy school and help other children to do the same.
  • If I am unhappy, I will talk to an adult. I will also talk to my parents if I am worried about anything at school.

Parents

I / we will always try to:

  • Support the school’s Christian values.
  • See that my child attends school, is on time and is collected promptly.
  • Contact the school as soon as possible by e-mail or phone if my child is ill or will be absent.
  • Ensure my child goes to bed early on a school night.
  • Ensure my child wears the full correct school uniform
  • Work with the school to try to make sure that my child behaves well and contact the school if there are any circumstances at home that may affect my child’s work or behaviour; e.g. parental absence, death of a pet.
  • Attend meetings for parents.
  • Support my child with homework and other opportunities for extracurricular learning.
  • Reply promptly to any school correspondence.
  • Keep school notified of changes to contact details, including email and mobile telephone.

Staff

I / we will always try to:

  • Ensure each child’s physical and social wellbeing at all times
  • Foster feelings of confidence, self-worth and belonging to promote a kind & caring atmosphere.
  • Make sure each child works hard and is encouraged to do their best.
  • Reply to any parental correspondence as soon as possible.
  • Welcome parents and carers into the life of the school and keep them informed of school matters.
  • Inform parents/carers regularly about the progress of their child.
  • Set each child homework tasks, including reading.
  • Provide a broad and balanced cross curricular curriculum which meets the needs of each child.
  • Provide opportunities for children to understand British values and the world in order to promote understanding and positive attitudes.
  • As a school we will provide opportunities to explore the Christian Values and enrich each child’s school experience.
