We currently have vacancies for two teaching posts and a Teaching Assistant.

Teaching Posts

Brinkworth Earl Danby’s CE Primary School is a welcoming, vibrant & inclusive village school, on two spacious, well equipped sites, set in beautiful rural countryside. We have a highly committed and enthusiastic staff team, and our pupils are polite, well-motivated and achieve high standards in all areas of school life. We have supportive governors, colleagues and parents and are committed to professional development and school improvement.

We are seeking to appoint two new enthusiastic, creative and inspirational teachers to our team, ideally to start from January 2022:

  • A KS1 Teacher (Y1) at the Lower School site in Dauntsey
  • A KS2 Teacher (Y4/5) at the Upper School site in Brinkworth

This is a great opportunity for someone who engages and inspires children, demonstrates high expectations, has plenty of energy, enthusiasm and a deep understanding of the relevant Key Stage.

Salary: Main Scale (according to experience)

Location: Brinkworth Earl Danby’s Lower School Site, Dauntsey, SN15 4HU & Brinkworth Earl Danby’s Upper School Site, Brinkworth, SN15 5AX (as applicable)

Contract Type for Both Teaching Positions: Permanent

Hours: Full Time (1.0 FTE)

Closing Date: 9am Wednesday 24th November 2021

Start Date: 1st January 2022 or soon after

Teaching Assistant Vacancy

We wish to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, initially providing support to a KS2 class based at our Upper School in Brinkworth 5 days per week, from 8.45am – 3.30pm. 

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and enthusiastically committed to helping children achieve their full potential. The successful applicant is likely to have relevant work experience with Primary aged pupils and should be resourceful, flexible, calm and supportive in nature making them a positive role model for pupils, whatever their needs and abilities. 

The role will include some periods of supporting the whole class, and some periods of working with small groups on targeted activities. 

You will be welcomed into an enthusiastic and collaborative team committed to ensuring that our pupils are provided with a stimulating education in a rounded nurturing environment. We would like someone with a compassionate nature, sense of humour and the ability to work co-operatively within a team setting.

Initially, the successful applicant will be based at Upper School supporting Key Stage 2 pupils; however, some degree of flexibility is required in order to provide support where it is needed most. Work at our Lower School site in Dauntsey may be required from time to time (e.g. covering staff absences) or in future academic years.

Salary Grade: Wiltshire Pay Scale Grade D

Salary Band: £18,933 – 19,968 FTE pa to be applied pro rata

Location: Brinkworth Earl Danby’s Upper School Site, Brinkworth, SN15 5AX

Contract Type: Term Time

Hours: 32 per week, 8.45am – 3.30pm Mon to Fri (part-time)

Contract Term: Permanent

Closing Date: 9am Monday 22nd November

Interview Date: Thursday 2nd December

Start Date: Tuesday 4th January
